Location: Monte Carlo – Principality of Monaco
Architect: Cristiano Gatto Design
The project, developed in collaboration with Cristiano Gatto Design, takes shape within an exclusive apartment located in the iconic Le Mirabeau building, in the heart of Monte Carlo’s Carré d’Or. A highly prestigious architectural setting that represents one of the most iconic expressions of luxury living in the Principality of Monaco.
Le Mirabeau, with its twenty-six floors, dominates the Monegasque skyline while overlooking the sea. Originally conceived as a luxury hotel, it is now one of the most sought-after private residences, renowned for its privileged location and exceptionally high level of services.
The project interprets the living space through a contemporary, elegant, and measured language, where every choice is guided by the intention to create a harmonious balance between interior architecture, natural light, and the relationship with the surrounding landscape. Large openings and the layout of the furnishings enhance visual continuity toward the outside, allowing the spaces to engage in a constant dialogue with the panoramic views of the sea and the city.
Our intervention included the development, engineering, production, and installation of all bespoke furnishings, through an integrated design approach capable of ensuring formal coherence, execution precision, and a high level of perceived quality in every detail.
A central feature of the living area is the TV wall paneling, crafted in padded leather with brass inserts, conceived as an architectural element that defines the space with elegance and material richness. The leather workmanship introduces a tactile and sophisticated dimension, while the metal details contribute to a balance between warmth and contemporary rigor.
The bespoke desk, characterized by a fluid and sculptural form, integrates a concealed pop-up unit for power outlets and connections, meeting functional needs without compromising the clarity of the design.
The kitchen, entirely custom-made, stands out for its essential and highly technological composition. The worktop integrates an extraction system directly into the cooktop, eliminating the need for overhead elements and maintaining complete visual continuity. The selected materials emphasize the contrast between matte surfaces and stone-like textures, helping to define a refined and contemporary environment.
The project is completed by a matte lacquered sideboard, elevated on a base and enriched with brass inserts on the doors. Behind it, a mirrored boiserie with a screen-printed map of the city of Monte Carlo introduces a distinctive and identity-defining element, transforming a functional surface into a strong design feature capable of connecting the interior space with the surrounding urban context.
The result is a sophisticated and luminous environment, where timeless design, artisanal quality, and technical innovation come together to create an exclusive living experience, perfectly aligned with the elegant and cosmopolitan identity of Monte Carlo.
